Licenses

This page provides an overview of the main software included in Orqnote evaluation builds and their licenses. The complete third party license is included in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt included with the app.

App itself

The rights to Orqnote's original code, design, logo, and text belong to the seller. The scope of usage permission granted to the purchaser is as follows:Terms of useThis is stipulated in the sales conditions at the time of purchase. Publication or redistribution of the source code is not permitted.

Main included open source software

The distributed app includes the following software. The full text of the license and copyright notice are included in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt within the app.

• MLX / MLX-LM / MLX-Whisper（MIT License）
• PyObjC（MIT License）
• rumps（BSD License）
• Pillow（MIT-CMU License）
• NumPy(BSD License etc.)
• openai（Apache License 2.0）
• pynput（GNU Lesser General Public License v3）

pynput is included in a replaceable form without being built into the main unit, and the corresponding source code and the full text of the GPL/LGPL license are included in the distribution. Instructions for relinking under the terms of the LGPL are provided in the included instructions.

model

The transcription model (MLX converted version of Whisper large-v3-turbo) and the on-device formatting model (4bit MLX version of Qwen3.5 9B) are not included in the app and are obtained from the distribution source when used for the first time.

• Whisper is released under the MIT License.
• Qwen3.5-9B is released under Apache License 2.0.

Model usage conditions are subject to the distributor's license and model card. A connection to Hugging Face is required to retrieve the model.
